[ The Mantis :: 2004-11-11 ]
( Views: 127 )

Sitting on the roadway all forlorn
looking roughed-up, ragged, and very well-worn -
Sitting on the pavement looking quite confused
as if by every passerby abused.

Hail, little Mantis! You've had a rough day.
If you could talk, that's probably what you'd say.
Hey little Mantis, crawl up on my shoe
and I'll take you somewhere new.

Dust yourself off and crawl on board
and I'll walk you slowly to safer shores.
'Cause that's what I'd want a friend to do
if he were me and I were you.

Everyone at times feels a bit forlorn,
feels roughed-up, ragged, and very well worn.
If you come across someone feeling down today,
be a friend and help him on his way.
