[ Cold Technology :: 2001-10-20 ]

Looking up at the moon,
I wonder why I must leave
you in that video screen

How something so cold
can bring your color
and warmth to me

and yet leave me
so empty
so lonely
at the click of a button

surely this
is the paradox
of unfeeling machines
the torture
of heart-breaking technology

Your sweet face
stays with me
as I ride on the bus
surrounded - and yet
completely alone

My heart cries out for you
and I wonder
if you can somehow feel it
from across the ocean
- how much I want you,
how much I need you
right here
right now
sweet child
