How did time move fast and slow since I away from you did go? The willow sings my lonesome song of sadness when the days grow long. A shadow comes across my heart to think from me you had to part. On other days the time flies past and it seems like minutes since I saw you last and heard your laughter cheer the air and ran my fingers through your hair, held you through the darkest night and woke with you to morning light. Yes, sometimes days crawl by so slow, sometimes I don't know where they go But I know this one thing is true - I'd wished to spend my life with you so that to me time would have died, I'd be forever at your side. |
